Manu Luksch created Faceless (2006) using only security cameras installed in public spaces. she then went through the process of sending requests to each of the venues requesting the footage for her film. In order for her to get the film she faces of people had to be blurred out to hide their identity. One company sent her the footage as a pile of film stills, in which each face had been cut out with a fingernail clipper... hence the name.
Interesting and really new way of creating video work and also really relevant to my whiting-out animation.
